For sprint 4 we thought that it was very important that our experience would be close to our expectations of it at the end of the sprint. That's why we decided to focus on having a total of 3 experience rooms and having a method to transition between them. At the same time, we also wanted to change some parts of the experience based on feedback that we got. The walking mechanic and the feeling that the echoroom brought the player could use some work.
We think that it's important to keep our client updated, so we sent Troy a weekly update with our design choices. For example we've sent him various variations in colors and textures of the echolocation room.
While we work enough on the project sometimes we can't avoid a too long discussion over a subject. We've had a couple of disagreements about the visual style of rooms and what their looks would mean to the game design. While we reach a mutual agreement after each discussion, they take up a lot of time. And sometimes both parties still think that their initial ideas were the best.
During this sprint we had a lot of puzzle pieces to deal with, sadly we weren't able to get the entire project to work completely. However while there were still a couple of walking, networking and scene loading issues, the echocave performed quite well.
