Our class was tasked to form different groups, think of a problem and solve it. My group consisted of Ebru, Laura, Leander, Mitchell, Luca and myself (Jay). The problem we decided to tackle was "A lot of people have trouble reintegrating into society after the pandemic started because of the fear of being in large groups.".

Our concept was a "returning to the island" game, the player would play as someone who used to manage the vacation island but took a long break from it. They decided to come back because they missed the island and the people. Over the course of the game, we will motivate the player to meet new people and we will gradually increase the population of the island.

We thought of this concept because we wanted the player character to go back to a place that they were familiar with so it would feel relatable for our users. Furthermore, we wanted the user to have a relaxing experience so we settled on the island setting.

The main locations of the game would be the port where the player goes to greet new arrivals, the street where most bungalows are and the top of the hill where the player themselves resides and where they can manage when the new arrivals will come. We purposefully placed the bungalows of the guests between the player's residence and the port, so the player would have to see guests as they traveled between the points.
